Pinus Sylvestris (Scots Pine)

This tree is characterized by the good quality bark and the existence of several shari (dead wood in the trunk), but its position in the vase did not benefit the quality of the tree. The tree was placed in a new position to emphasize the movement of the trunk and aesthetic harmony was improved by adjusting the branches to the new position.

In the chosen design the beautiful motion of the trunk is highlighted over the whole trunk up to the apex. The shari with dead wood aged through time, and the elegance of the branching are the focal points of the chosen design.
