Sunlight: Prefers full sun but tolerates partial shade. Direct sunlight enhances autumn colours and overall vigour.

Watering: Water regularly to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. During summer, it may require more frequent watering.

Humidity: Adapts well to various humidity levels but prefers moderately humid conditions. Occasional misting helps during hot days.

Pruning: Can be pruned several times throughout the growing season to maintain shape and promote fine ramification. Perform heavier pruning in late winter before new growth starts.

Fertilization: Feed from spring to autumn with a balanced fertiliser. Reduce feeding during midsummer and stop during winter.

Repotting: Repot every 2–3 years in spring, before new growth begins. Use a well-draining bonsai soil mix.

Flowering and Fruiting: The flowers are small and inconspicuous. The main ornamental appeal lies in the foliage and textured bark.
