Sunlight: Prefers full sun but tolerates partial shade. Direct sun promotes compact growth and fruiting.

Watering: Requires regular watering to keep the soil moist, avoiding waterlogging. Tolerates short periods of drought, but not prolonged.

Humidity: Adapts well to average humidity levels, benefiting from occasional misting in dry environments.

Pruning: Structural pruning should be done in late winter. During the growing season, pinching back shoots helps control vigour and reduce leaf size.

Fertilization: Feed in spring and summer with a balanced fertiliser. Reduce or stop feeding in late summer to prepare the tree for dormancy.

Repotting: Repot every 2–3 years, preferably in spring, using a well-draining substrate.

Flowering and Fruiting: Produces inconspicuous flowers in spring, followed by edible fruits ranging from pale yellow to light purple, maturing in summer. Its ornamental value in bonsai lies in the foliage, branching, and fruits.
