Premium Japanese bonsai substrate from the Triple Line range, High Class grade. As a Hard Akadama, it is fired at higher temperatures, giving it greater hardness and resistance to breakdown, so it keeps its structure for 2 to 3 years.
SSS grade (1~2mm), ideal for fine roots and small pots
Balanced drainage and water retention, keeping roots well aerated
Encourages the development of fine, healthy roots
Ideal for: seedlings, cuttings, mame and shohin bonsai, and as a top layer in larger pots. Can be used on its own or mixed with pumice or lava of a similar grain size.
